Commenting options at bottom. You should have taken the picture with me in it. It would have kept the focus on Mother’s Day and Grandma, but it also would have showcased me. At least let me get my leg, or even my shoe in the corner of the picture. Why couldn’t my shoe have a cameo? I vividly remember you taking the picture. For some reason I thought it appropriate at the time not to stick my leg or face in. I don’t know what I’m thinking sometimes.
“I don’t know what I’m thinking sometimes.”
Is now one of those times?
Now in all seriousness, I did contemplate leaving you in the picture. In fact I couldn’t help thinking about it because you inadvertantly were in the first two attempts at this picture.

I am certain that photographs more wretched than these do not exist. Even mom’s presence in the second one couldn’t alleviate the indelible mark you made.
