Yeah, we Americans might have justified our independence from foreign aggressors on that moral precept, but nowadays we prefer moral convenience, i.e. ethnocentric efficiency. When the situation gets too morally difficult, we crank up the volume of “America the Beautiful” (the randy travis version, not ray charles, of course) and conform!
